Martin Scorsese moves into full preproduction on his upcoming feature ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’. A mystery about the true story of a series of murders in the Osage Nation of Oklahoma that was investigated by the FBI back in the 1920’s.
This will be the follow-up to the director’s previous overbudgeted gangster film ‘The Irishman’ which was released by NetFlix late last year and garnered 10 Academy Award nominations.
‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ is based on the non-fiction true crime book by David Grann. The cast is set to star both Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio, two of the biggest star collaborators to have worked with Martin Scorsese repeatedly.
Filming is expected to begin in Oklahoma starting in February of 2021. Release date may be as late as 2022.
