There’s a new evolution happening for movie serials.
The movie serial left theaters when episodic television gained prominence in the 1950’s. Now more than 60 years later the movie serial is getting a makeover in playable VR format.
‘Tarzan VR’ will be released later this year and you, (yes, you!), will get to be Tarzan himself swinging through the tall trees of the jungle and swimming with hungry crocodiles on a quest to rescue Jane from villainous poachers.
The playable action adventure VR experience will be released in three chapters. Expected to be available for Oculus Rift, PlayStation VR and HTC Vive.
‘Tarzan VR’ is developed by Stonepunk Studios and published by Fun Train.
Fun Train previously published ‘The Exorcist: Legion VR’. A five chapter horror experience based on the classic William Peter Blatty story and developed by Wolf & Wood.
‘The Exorcist: Legion VR’ is available on Oculus Rift, Oculus Quest, HTC Vive, PlayStation VR and Steam.
