The star of the extremely popular Marvel film ‘Black Panther’ Chadwick Boseman has died of cancer. He was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2016.
Born in South Carolina he would first come to prominence on the big screen in 2013 as Jackie Robinson in the biopic ’42’.
He would soon be cast in 2016 as T’challa a.k.a. Black Panther in the MCU film ‘Captain America: Civil War’ reprising the role several times starting with the Oscar winning ‘Black Panther’ and ‘Avengers: Infinity War’, both 2018, and again in ‘Avengers: Endgame’ released just last year.
Chadwick Boseman was most recently seen in Spike Lee’s ‘Da 5 Bloods’ released earlier this year to great acclaim.
A sequel to ‘Black Panther’ had been announced with a scheduled release of 2022 but was yet to start filming.
