Filmed in Hungary all the way back in 1983 ‘Grizzly II: Revenge’ is finally about to see the light of day.
The sequel to the William Girdler directed cult classic starring Leslie Nielsen sees vicious grizzly bear attacking teens at an outdoor rock concert. Featuring very early performances from future stars George Clooney, Laura Dern and Charlie Sheen the sequel stars John Rhys-Davies who made this after the success of ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’.
The film was never completed after the executive producer Joseph Proctor failed to pay for finishing the special effects. Producer Suzanne Nagy finally completed the film earlier this year and it is expected to be released both to streaming and at drive-in movie theaters this fall.
It is rumored to have been reshaped to feature the young stars more than the original iteration would have.
Directed by Andre Szots hopefully this long lost sequel will be as enjoyable as its predecessor.
