‘Wednesday’ is a new series based on the classic television series ‘The Addams Family’. Director Tim Burton is directing at least the pilot episode, perhaps even the entire first season. Now the cast is being set for the leads.

Joining the previously announced Jenna Ortega in the title role, latest casting announcements have confirmed Catherine Zeta-Jones to play Morticia Addams along with Luis Guzman as Gomez Addams.

The series is set for Netflix and is scheduled to appear on the streaming service sometime next year.

‘The Addams Family’ is owned by MGM which was recently acquired by Amazon, the streaming rival to Netflix.
