Inspired by the 1922 poem by Carl Sandberg ‘The Hangman at Home’ allows the viewer/participant to experience five interconnected stories through innovative animated narrative. A co-production between Denmark’s Late Love Production, Miyu Productions and Floreal Films (both hailing from France), and the National Film Board of Canada. The VR experience took home the top prize at this year’s Venice Film Festival Virtual Reality Competition.

The award winners in this competition are as follows:

Best VR – ‘The Hangman at Home’, Michelle & Uri Kranot (Denmark/France/Canada)

Best Experience – ‘Finding Pandora X’, Kiira Benzing (USA)

Best VR Story – ‘Killing a Superstar’, Fan Fan (China)
